You don’t have to look very far for a reason to practice it.

I am in Natchez, Mississippi, to film a Christmas movie. They have put me up in a lovely plantation style bed and breakfast: beautiful and peaceful. And most of the other visitors have just arrived from the hurricane devastation in Louisiana.

I spoke with a couple in the dining area last night who had no idea whether their home was standing or not. They couldn’t get any clear information because the power and communication sites had all been damaged.

This morning, I listened to a young mother who was pregnant and with two young children, as she bravely held back tears when she said to me, “Yes. We lost everything. Everything is gone. But my babies are safe.”

An elderly couple in their eighties shared the same story. Everything gone. He looked at me with a weak but small smile, and said, “I don’t know what we’re going to do. We have insurance, but…” and his voice trailed off.

The power of the human soul is mighty. We can rise up from just about anything.

Today, I invite you to search out all your blessings and acknowledge them. Be love. Share love. There are so many people who need to receive it. And we are all so very fortunate to know how to call upon it. Close your eyes and demand from all creation the peace, balance and love we desire in this world. You are more powerful than you know.

BLESSINGS,
DEE

“I shall pass through this world but once. Ant good, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”
