I know. I should be writing a rousing eblast on the 4th of July and the love of America.
But I am consumed by another issue. Health care.
I have been living in a glass bubble. I’ve been with the same doctor for over 40 years. A doctor that did-and knew-everything. He just retired. And the black hole I fell into has swallowed me up. I became very ill and had to go to the E.R. That was followed by a week of health challenges, and another visit to the E.R. My primary heart doctor would not get back to me. I’ve been with him over 35 years.
My new primary internist only works two days a week. She was booked up until July 20.
Maybe another doctor would see me within the two practices. Nope. No appointments available.
I felt alone and abandoned.
Then I heard similar stories from several friends and clients. So, I want to know from the channel: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Why have we created a health system unavailable to the people it serves? Here is the guidance I received:
1) We have not been a participant in the creation of what we want. I AM CREATING A HEALTH SYSTEM AVAILABLE AND AFFORDABLE AND FAIR TO ALL PEOPLE. We have been focused on the unfairness and struggle, OR riding the wave of having it all. We must participate in the creation of what we desire!
2) We have believed that we have to give up ourselves OR others must give themselves up to have a health system fair to all.
3) The belief that it’s not possible to create/have a fair and just health system available to all in this country…let alone in the world!
Please join me in creating what we want: I AM CREATING A HEALTH SYSTEM AVAILABLE AND AFFORDABLE AND FAIR TO ALL PEOPLE.
