I wanted to take this opportunity to share with all of you, my beloved community and circle of friends, my new love place: my grandson.

Stone Christopher Ghazi was born last week after a relatively quick and easy birth. (Gabrielle might argue that point!) I had made it a point to talk to him in utero every chance I could, remembering the magical moment in my own delivery.

My husband, Christopher, had sung to Gabrielle every night at bedtime the little song, “Life is just a bowl of cherries.” She had kind of a tough delivery, and came out screaming. They cleaned her up and handed her to Chris. He began singing his song, and she instantly stopped crying, opened her eyes, and reached up her arms to him. It was a magical moment that stopped even the nurses in their tracks.

So, when I finally got to meet Stone, I leaned into his tiny bed and said, “Hi Stone. It’s Grandma. Welcome to the world! We love you!” For a brief moment he stopped. His wiggly little body was still. He looked toward my voice, and I knew he knew it. And me.

We connected. Forever.

I wanted to share the magic with you, the people I love.

May I introduce you to Stone Christopher Ghazi.
